ASID Professional membership status recognizes an interior designer as having completed a course of accredited education, and/or practical work experience in interior design, plus rigorous national testing. The appellations signify that the professional design practitioner is qualified by means of education, experience and examination, to protect and enhance the life, health, safety and welfare of the public.
